We believe the most successful organizations are full of diverse people - we look for the same in our students. We do, however, need students to have the following characteristics:

Professionalism
Students will visit numerous businesses and meet or work with a wide range of community partners. Professionalism is an important part of this working relationship.

Responsibility and Commitment
The Program has many moments where students are placed in positions of responsibility, we feel that the application process will demonstrate this.

Academic Commitment
As Beyond Borders takes place in an off-campus setting and students are involved in many projects, students are expected to keep organized and up-to-date on all assignments for Beyond Borders courses.

Grade 11 M or U level courses

Application Process:
The application process for Beyond Borders is straightforward and designed to help us get to know each student beyond their academic record. Students begin by downloading the application form from the provided link, completing it in full, and submitting it by email to the Beyond Borders team. Once applications have been reviewed, students will be contacted to participate in an interview. This conversation allows us to learn more about each applicant, their interests, and their readiness for an experiential learning environment, and helps determine final acceptance into the program.
