"ONE" Charity Event raises over $55,000

One of the big year-end assignments in the program is organizing a fundraising gala event to raise money for research into Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome at Mount Sinai Hospital.
This is a unique experiential learning project that allows students to focus on organizational stratgies, marketing campaigns, sales tatics, operations and more.

Students raised over $55,000 for Mt. Sinai Hosptial with only 6 weeks to execute the project.
Guelph teacher snags Prime Minister’s Award

For local high school teacher Mike Parsons, winning a Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence is recognition that his unique business program is having a positive impact on students.

“It’s great, because I’ve put my heart and soul into this program,” Parsons said.

Since 1993, the Prime Minister’s Awards for Teaching Excellence have honoured exceptional teachers in all disciplines. Teachers are recognized for their achievements in education and for their commitment to preparing students for a digital, innovation-based economy.

Beyond Borders Student receives Guelph Police Jr. Citizen of the Year Award

These annual awards, handed out by the Guelph Police Service, aim to recognize the young citizens in the city who have assisted officers in some way to help keep the city safe.

Beyond Borders Students Travel to Nashville, USA for Deca Competition

Slytherin Wins House Cup

Students in Beyond Borders compete in Hogwarts Challenges (divided in four teams) throughout the semester. These experiential challenges truly test their leadership abilities. Slytherin was a dominate team this year. Winning numerous competitions throughout the semester. Congratuations Slytherin!
Beyond Borders Sponsors Michael House

This semester Beyond Borders students raised over $2400 to sponsor a unit at Michael House. Students designed concepts and presented financial plans to Michael House exectuives. Following approval students exectued the project with a "build day" to renovate the new suite. Congratulations BB 2015. You should be proud of your work.
Eagle's Flight Supports Beyond Borders

This fall Eagles Flight will be supporting Beyond Borders with numerous leaderhip development workshops. Our students will gain so much from their innovative lessons.
