Step by Step Guide to Unit #4:

Please review the instructions below to ensure you have a clear understanding of course objectives for the next unit. Each week you will be assigned approximately 3 hours of course work (For week of April 22nd to May 12th).

Prior to the break we had covered some of the unit material in our class activities (including the leadership scenarios - where you were selected to lead groups through challenges and we discussed strategies for effective leadership. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at any time.

Step #1: An important aspect to this unit is to not only learn about the strategies of effective leadership but perhaps more important is to look at what makes you a great leader and to evaluate your own leadership abilities. To begin with this I would like each student to complete a simple task - develop your own Linkedin Profile (something you would likely choose to complete in the coming months as you enter post secondary and build your network). Once you have created your Profile, please find me and add me to your network so I can see it is completed and support your network.

Step #2: Complete the Hiring Case - who do you feel the most effective leader/employee would be? Respond to the questions and share your answers with Mr. Parsons for review.

Step #3: Please read the Leadership Secrets article and respond to the following. What two leadership secrets do you feel are most important and why? Share your responses with Mr. Parsons

Step #4: Review the Sales Lecture and watch the Video Exemplar

Step #5: Complete the Sales Formative - 60 - 90 Second Second Sales Pitch - Video and share as an attachment

Step #6: Review Event Planning and Roles for the Final Charity Event Project

Step #7: Complete the CEO Speech Summative​
